The Nova WordPress theme
Today i’m giving away the WordPress version of the Nova template. This is a complete wordpress theme perfect for business and corporate sites, it has a lot of features that can be manage at the “Options panel”, also you can display the blog posts on several post formats such video and galleries. Additionally you can have a special post type for the portfolio/work.

Awesome looking theme, however when I try to install on WP 3.2.1 I get the following:

Try uploading the folder using the ftp method instead of the wordpress upload tool.

But don’t know how to add the slider at the frontpage. I know left there are the Nova settings with the slider options, but don’t know how to link a picture. Just the URL, from google? Or from your FTP server and in which map?

Is there a way to set a conditional statement for the images in the tabs on the home page? For instance, if one of the posts or pages just has text and no image, is there a way for it to not show the blank space with the plus sign graphic and just show the text pushed up to the top?

Hi azimuth, i just have downloaded your nice theme Nova. Like it a lot. One question. Is it possible in someway to get rid of the both advert buttons in the backend Themeforest/ Luiszuno). I really need this theme for my customer. But off cause without the buttons. I also would pay to get this thing away. I think its embeded by a little trick.

Hi! I fix this issue, the .mo file is not correct.
And there are many bad translations (link!=liga, link==enlace)
I have the correct translations files, if you want I can send to you, or you can do it yourself:
1. Download “poedit” program
2. Open es_ES.po file located at “wp-content/themes/nova/languages”
3. Review translations and save, program automatically generated a new .mo file.
4. Overwrite .mo and .po files with the modified files.
And that’s all
Please send me the corrected file. and ill include it on the files.

I have the same problem, some words are cut and indeed I see no problems in translation, I think the problem is the size of the cell assigned to the text. Anyway would appreciate your help Sergio.

I am having an issue with getting this theme to work with the All in One SEO Pack plugin which I use for page by page SEO.
The description is working but the Title is not getting correctly re-written.
Sorry i can’t help you with 3rd party plugins. Try the built in seo feature.
uh.. im sorry if this is a dumb question but im new to wordpress and i really dont know how to apply this theme i went to appearance, themes and it seemes i cant use it. This theme is really beautiful but it only gives me the otion to activate other themes not uploading, thanks in advance

Después de instalar el tema, tengo WordPress en español, pero la parte del menú de Nova se traduce de forma incorrecta eliminando parte de las palabras, tanto en el índice como en las páginas específicas de NOVA, p.e.: En lugar de escribir “Generales”, aparece “nerales”, en lugar de “SEO”, se ve “O”. En algunos casos se puede deducir, pero no siempre. ¿ Sabéis a qué puede ser debido”.
Aparte de este problema el tema está estupendo, felicidades.

Hi Luis, if I may bring your attention to this opportunity, webpagetest.org has some suggestions for improving speed of Nova WP:

Basically, the two main suggestions are to
- cache static resources (Is your .htaccess file configurable in the WP control panel? I am familiar with htaccess, but not WP)
- combine 15 images into one sprite-image (this can be done by a free online sprite generator such as http://csssprites.com/)
Is there any chance you could do this for the WP or the html theme in a future update?

How do I get the images to display in the “Recent Work” tab?? I took the stock images out now I have no idea why I cant get them in my frontpage???
I tested the theme but there are many visual problems, it’s not as in the live demo, for example on the blog page it doesn’t show all the data correctly when I hover the post.

The text in the navbar is not vertically centered and the navbar height is upper than on the live demo.
And there is no sidebar so all the sidebar widgets are shown in the footer and aren’t layered as well.
most of the functions of nextgen are not working with nova theme, when i click on (add image/gallery ,options ) it will show empty page. when i deactivate the nova theme all function of nextgen works fine.

choose to pay with your facebook account or twitter account it totally free just choose one … for example you will pay with facebook then you will post link to your account and will access button appear and you can download it

I am having trouble with one thing and not sure if you can help….
On the ‘view projects’ buttons on the portfolio page, i have set it up to link to the gallery page so you can see all the thumbnails. However, i would like this to link to a specific category within the gallery, for example link it to just the thumbnail images in ‘pink’ or ‘blue’ (data filter). How can i set this up and is there code for this? Sorry i am new to web design and have spent so long trying to figure it out but i am not having any luck!
